Biography:
Prof. Dr Zakiah Ahmad is the Professor at Universiti Teknologi Mara. She obtained her Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering and Master’s degree at the Memphis State University, United States of Amerika before continuing to take PhD in Timber Engineering at University of Bath United Kingdom. Zakiah has more than 30 years of experience in teaching and research. Zakiah is specialising in timber engineering and timber composites. Her other interest includes nano-polymer composites as well as cement composites. She has supervised more than 60 postgraduate students. She has published more than 300 papers in journals and proceedings and has written 10 books and several booklets for industries. She has been appointed as Editor and guest editor for some reputable journals. She has been reviewer for many international journals and conference papers. She also active in giving keynote papers (more than 70 keynote papers) on timber related topics at numerous seminars and conferences at national and international level. Up to this date, she has secured and leads more them 60 numbers of research grants worth more than RM 20 million from the government and industries. She has received more than 40 awards comprises of gold, silver, special awards and grand award on her research projects at national and international research competitions. The highlight of her achievements are the Top Research Scientist Award and appointment as Felo of Academy Science Malaysia as well as the recipient of the UiTM academic figure award. Zakiah has served as consultant, committee member and advisor to numerous public agencies and institutions. She plays an essential role in the Malaysian Standard committees as the Chairman for Timber structures group, Chairman and member for several working groups. At international, Zakiah is well known for her active participation in ISO standards writing. The highlight of her achievement on standard writing is the National Standard Awards 2018 that she received from Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI). She also has been appointed as visiting professor/research scientist at BRE Research Institute, University of Bath, United Kingdom, Centre for Nanoscience and Nanotechnology, School of Chemical Sciences, Mahatma Gandhi University India, University of British Columbia’s, Okanagan Campus, Canada and Timber Research Institute, Kyoto University Japan.
Prof. Dr. Seyed Mohammadreza Ghadiri

Biography:
Prof. Dr. Ghadiri is a multidisciplinary expert, and he has been involved in teaching, research, and supervision of diverse projects in different fields and disciplines including Civil Engineering, Transportation and Logistics, and Business for over 17 years. He is a competent scholar with over 80 publications including journals, conferences, patent, books, and book chapters. He is a preferred expert in smart city, smart mobility, and intelligent transportation system. During the past years, he has been invited as a Key-note speaker and guest professor by different institutions and event organizers from different countries including China, Iran, Spain, Poland, Switzerland, France, Vietnam, India, Myanmar, and Nigeria to deliver his speeches, share his research findings, and to train the people. Outstanding Scientist Award (India, 2020), Lifetime Achievements Award (2019, Malaysia), Outstanding School award (2018, Malaysia), and a Silver Prize (Malaysia, i-ENVEX 2015) are some of the recognitions he has obtained previously. Recently, he is the Chancellor, and the Dean of School of Aviation Management and Logistics at Swiss Institute of Management and Innovation in Switzerland.
Assoc. Prof. Rita Yi Man Li

Biography:
Dr. Rita Yi Man Li now serve as an Associate Professor in Dept of Economics and Finance, Hong Kong Shue Yan University (HKSYU). She is the founder and director of Sustainable Real Estate Research Center and Real Estate and Economics Research Lab. She is also an Adjunct Associate Professor in China-Australia Centre for Sustainable Urban Development, Tianjin University in China. Her major field of research interests lie in construction safety, sustainable development, real estate economics and finance. Over the years, she won many local and international awards and grants. She also hold a few visiting positions in overseas university, such as University of South Australia, RMIT and Feng Chia University. Her papers are published in Journal of Cleaner Production, Sustainability, Journal of Environmental Health etc. She is also the editor in chief of the International Journal of Sustainable Real Estate and Construction Economics.
Assoc. Prof. Ruiqing Lang

Biography:
Ruiqing Lang, Associate Professor of Tianjin Chengjian University. His main research interests include soft ground treatment, soil-structure interaction, and marine soil mechanics. He has presided over a number of national and provincial natural science foundation projects. He has published many SCI and EI papers.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mohammad Arif Kamal

Biography:
Dr. Mohammad Arif Kamal is an Architect having 20 years of Teaching, Research and Professional experience in the field of Architecture, Building Technology and Interior Design, He did his Bachelor of Architecture (B. Arch.) with Honors from Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh, India in 2000, and secured a Master of Architecture (M. Arch.) on an MHRD GATE Fellowship from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Roorkee, in 2002 and Ph.D. in ‘Energy Responsiveness in Traditional Residential Buildings of Lucknow’ on MHRD Fellowship, from IIT, Roorkee in 2007. His major fields of interest are Environmental Design, Sustainable Architecture, Energy Efficiency in Buildings, Climate Responsive Architecture, Traditional Architecture etc. Dr. Kamal is presently working as an Associate Professor at Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh. He has published 5 books and edited 4 Special Topic Volumes related to Sustainable Building Materials, published by Trans Tech Publications, Switzerland. He has published around 100 papers in International Journals and Conferences. Dr. Kamal has an h-index of 13 with around 763 Citations (It is highest in Architecture in India). Dr. Kamal is an Editorial Board Member of many International Journals and Conferences related to the Field of Architecture and Building Construction Engineering. He is a lifetime member of the Council of Architecture, India, and an Associate member of the Indian Institute of Architects, India. He is also a panel member of many International Research Organizations and Professional Bodies.
